Classroom Tested!!

A HIGH SCHOOL SCENE BOOK
Do you go nuts trying to find scene study material for your students? Are you dissatisfied with the scenes you do find? Are they too long, too short, too silly, not silly enough, too serious, not serious enough? This collection of twenty-five award-winning four-minute scenes is based on overheard classroom conversations.

WHITE MODEL BOX SET TEMPLATE
A basic white model box set, to which your students can add doors and windows. Print it on a piece of card stock, and you are ready to go. Good opportunity to introduce safe use of X-acto knives and rubber cement. Virtual and special needs students were able to complete this project with scissors and white glue. It all cuts from one piece of card stock.

WING AND DROP SET--DOODLE & PATTERN DESIGN
After you introduce the concept of Wing & Drop Sets and Portals, students fill each of the three portals on the template provided with one doodle pattern each. (Don't tell them there is a part two!)  After they are done that, they will sketch their own Wing & Drop Set on the bottom half of the page, using the top template as a guide. On this one, they will add three different patterns. Then, they will add color.

WING AND DROP SET--COLLAGE DESIGN
Using the provided template, torn paper, and glue, students
will create a Wing & Drop set design in a collage aesthetic.
Print the 2 page template on card stock.
Paper should get torn ahead of time.
Advanced students may use X-acto knives, while general students may use scissors for safety.
Extension idea: After creating their collage design, students may sketch it in pencil.
Even further extension: Students may color their pencil sketches to match their collage designs.
